Determine whether f(x)=x3xf(x) = x^3 - x is odd, even, or neither. State its monotonicity.

f(x)=x3+x=f(x)f(-x) = -x^3 + x = -f(x) ⇒ odd.
f(x)=3x21f'(x) = 3x^2 - 1: decreasing on (13,13)\left(-\tfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}, \tfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\right), increasing elsewhere.

Compute limx0ex1x\displaystyle \lim_{x\to 0} \dfrac{e^x - 1}{x}.
